The relationship between the Centre and the African Development Bank (AfDB) comes from a long way; the two organisations made strides in capacity building of Anti-Corruption Agencies in the region. Speaking during the Evidence Management (Theory and Practice) Course, Ms. Anele Ncube, Senior Integrity Officer with African Development Bank (AfDB), said that, as the bank, they found it necessary to attend the training to observe and get feedback from the Centre, resource persons and participants so that they look for ways to enhance the bank’s relationship with the Centre.
She further stated that the Centre is doing a great job in capacity building of anti-corruption officers. Commonwealth Africa Anti-Corruption Centre and African Development Bank (AFDB) collaborated to host the above mentioned training programme which was held from 10th and 14th July 2023 in Gaborone, Botswana. The focus of this five-day face to face training programme was to improve the practical skills of investigators and prosecutors in capturing and presenting oral evidence. While also briefly addressing issues related to the identification and seizure of documentary, real and digital evidence.
