To deepen engagement and cooperation of Commonwealth Africa countries in the fight against corruption
Objectives
The objectives of the Association are to-
- Serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas, information and experiences in the fight against corruption;
- Promote development of knowledge and expertise related to professional ethics;
- Identify and resolve obstacles in the fight against corruption;
- Develop and maintain electronic means of communication to serve the needs of the Association;
- Facilitate interaction among members of the Association;
- Initiate and support projects and efforts related to anti-corruption;
- Promote the effective implementation of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption and the United Nations Convention against Corruption;
- Promote and facilitate mutual cooperation among the members in preventing, detecting, investigating, gathering and providing evidence for judicial proceedings and prosecution of corruption and other related offences;
- Promote and facilitate international cooperation in tracking, seizing, forfeiting and recovery of the proceeds of corrupt activities, and in the prosecution and extradition of fugitive offenders.
